In post Soviet Russia, a cleaner, who was a well regarded Bolshoi conductor (Aleskei Gustov) hatches a plan after intercepting a fax from Paris: Bring his old orchestra back together. Along with a brilliant young violinist (Melaine Laurent), they head for the bright lights to play Tchaikovsky’s violin concerto in D.
This wacky comedy of slapstick, irony and wonderful music soars to a wonderful climax.
