HIVE is a searing drama based on the true story of Fahrije who, like many other women in her Kosovan patriarchal village, has lived with fading hope and increasing grief following the disappearance of their husbands during the the war in Kosovo. Against the backdrop of Eastern Europe’s civil unrest and lingering misogyny, Fahrije and the women of the village join together in the struggle to find hope and financial security.
